Safety, escalating costs and the constant need for more efficient solutions continue to place growing emphasis on performance. Responding to requirements, FDM Australia has become the Australian supplier of FireSeal’s new, cost-efficient fire penetrations for the marine and offshore industry.
FireSeal has enjoyed a long and extensive involvement with this market sector, in terms of both new buildings and repairs or retrofits. The shipbuilding industry has the most demanding requirements and standards for fire rated penetrations. Accordingly, our FireSeal’s range of penetration seals are designed in accordance with Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) convention, and are independently tested and type-approved by recognised classification societies.
The Flex-D is the fastest and easiest system on the market for cable and pipe penetrations (Steel & Aluminium). It stops propagation of fire, smoke, gas, water, dust and noise. The elasticity and strength of the sealing material offers a flexible seal that resists large movements and strong vibration without cracking, deformation or loss of adhesion.
Pipelock PL(100) is a very easy and quick fire sealing system for plastic pipes that penetrate A0 – A60 fire cells and prevents fire, smoke, gas or water from spreading into surrounding areas.
The Kniparen is a single or multiple cable seal developed to meet the requirements set by IMO Resolution A.754 (18). Kniparen stops spread of fire, smoke, gas and water. The elasticity and strength of the sealing material offers a flexible seal that resists large movements and strong vibrations without cracking, deformation or loss of adhesion.
